Bruno paints mostly Japanese men, a reflection of himself.  Growing up in Japan, he did not see men expressing their feelings.  Even now, many of his paintings do not show apparent feelings.

When he draws they are  mostly human figures.  There were times in the past when he drawed and paiinted otherrwise.

Even his figures were more abstract than those he paints now. When he restarted in Chicago, he was influenced by certain naive artists.  And, he realized he himself was a naive artist, an outsider.

He enjoys the freedom of being an outsider to be able to paint what he wants, rather than what the trend says.  He saw a glimpse of a "rat race" in the painting world, a race too familiar in the corporate world he was in.

He used to write a few pages, and has several journal books.  Oftentimes, he did not want to express in writing, and certain pages turned into sketches.
